Privately, I probably spend time with the same things, just voluntarily.

I have a soft spot for things that are simply well made.

Software that gets out of the way.

Gadgets that work every day.

Tools that solve a real problem instead of just inventing one.

guteszeug.me is my place for exactly those things.

If something lands here, it's because I use it myself and genuinely believe in it. Not because someone paid for it.

The house rules

Only things I'm genuinely convinced by make it here.
Mediocre stuff never even reaches the site.
If something has weaknesses, I write them down.
No star rankings. Instead, an honest verdict in my own words and a seal of approval I hand out.

Here and there I use affiliate links.

Completely honestly, and without an asterisk hiding in the fine print: I only do that to fund the site.

That changes exactly nothing about my opinion.

I'm convinced of every single recommendation here, and I have not received money for any of them.
